Her friends Elaine and Deann also came and they were way fun.
We tried to be scientific and read all the programs and info on the horses and jockeys. But it came down to fun names and anyway, we'd had a few by the first race. So we accidentally bet way more than we'd wanted to on the first race and were prepared to see our money go up in hoof dust. When what do you know! We won!!! And BIG!
Well, big enough that we had enough to pay for all our drinks and eats (expensive!) plus our totally lame bets for the rest of the day and a little left over for later.
All in all, a successful day. Plus I don't think I've laughed that much in years!
