Dave and Melanie's new house

It was Melanie's dad's place and he was a bit of a pack rat so Melanie, Dave and friends are having a lot of work cleaning it out.

This little guy is Mister, Sarah's new puppy. Speck wasn't sure what to think of him.

They have a couple of acres and two new dogs, Martin (who knows how to shake) and Jennie (who knows how to fetch!)

Kernville trip

I went up the hill the other day for a story, couple of stories as it turned out.


Heading up the canyon.I met Casey up there, haven't worked on a story with him in a long LONG time.

This is Auxilliary Dam camp ground. During summer it's packed elbow to elbow with people.

I was working on a story about this very pass and how people are up at arms over whether the fees collected are really paing for waht they should.

There was a golden eagle nearly as tall as me right HERE on the side of the road eating something he'd just killed. I SWEAR! But just as I was pulling up my camera a stupid stupido drove by all crazy in his big truck and scared the goldie away!

So as I was interviewing people on the fee story, my boss called and wanted me to get down to Mountain Mesa where a story was breaking. Turns out a doctor, nurse and pharmacist were busted for KILLING Alzheimers patients by overdrugging them to keep them quiet! YIKES!

Anyway, I went down there and no one would talk to me, of course. But I got these shots. Nice looking place anyway.
