Running and my "live shot"

My running is pretty pedestrian (ha ha) these days. I just don't want to suffer another freakin' injury, so I'm keeping it slow and low key.

Consequently, I'm not getting the mileage nor the hills I need. I'm now trying to sell my slots and my hotel room for the Catalina race. There's just no way I'll be able to run it. If I can't sell it, I may go down there but won't run. SIGH. I've always wanted to do that race too.
Here's the running rundown this week.

Monday
3.17 miles
30:57 minutes
9:46 average pace
6:22 best pace
337 calories burned.

Tuesday I had to do a live shot w/a local TV station at 5 a.m.! RE: The city's and The Californian's efforts to get water back in the river. So, since we were meeting at the bike path, I put in my jogging clothes, brought some dogs and after the interview went for a run.

Some photos of Kate Larsen, morning gal for Ch. 29 at the river and interviewing Jack Jack!

Tuesday
4.19 miles
50 minutes (hey, it was dark and there was debris in the trail!)
10:12 average pace
7:23 best pace
506 calories burned

By the way, Tuesday was my 17 year anniversary for quitting smoking. SEVENTEEN YEARS!

Wednesday
3.16 miles
30:53 minutes
9:46 average pace
6:39 best pace
325 calories burned
